Additional Options

Under this tab additional output options for stresses can be defined. The main options for stress output is done under Options - Stresses.

In the diagram it is possible to graphically display Stress limits. To display all defined stress limits, check the box next to All.

Not to display none of the stress limits, check the box next to None has to be checked.

To display only certain stress limits, first check the box next to Several. The under has Choice, the specific stress limit numbers have to be selected.

Multiple selection is possible.

Calculation of stresses

SettingDescription
Stress-Strain The stresses to be output will be calculated using the specified relation from the stored strains.
Note: For the list output, E-Modulus is always used.
Principal stress acc. to In the menu for selecting the result components to be presented, the program offers only the possibility to select principal stresses, not equivalent stresses. Here there is a switch that allows for presenting equivalent stresses instead of principal stresses.
SettingDescription
v.Mises Equivalent stresses according to vonMises (deformation energy hypothesis) are output instead of principal stresses. SigI gives the actual equivalent stresses, SigII is zero and SigIII gives the equivalent stresses with a negative sign.
Shear Method Equivalent stresses according to Tresca (maximum shear stress hypothesis) are output instead of the principal stresses. SigI gives the actual equivalent stresses, SigII is zero and SigIII gives the equivalent stresses with a negative sign.
else (Default) actual principal stresses are output
